Dr Nandita Palshetkar is Founder and Medical Director of the famous Bloom IVF Group which has been recognized for doing great work in the field of Reproductive Medicine in India since past 30 years.
This much awarded IVF chain owning 8 centers all over India including Mumbai , Navi Mumbai , Delhi , Gurugram and Mohali, has received numerous awards including the international Frost and Sullivan award.
She has introduced many path breaking technologies in India including ICSI in 1996, Laser Hatching in 1998, Egg Freezing and Ovarian Tissue Freezing in 2007, Spindle Check in 2006, Embryoscope in 2012 which was a first in entire Asia and path breaking Non Invasive Pre Implantation Testing using whole genome amplification of DNA leaked in spent culture media and subsequent NGS analysis for PGT - A. Recently the first births in India using this non invasive PGT -A technique was published in the reputed journal Polymorphism , indeed a landmark achievement.
Dr Nandita has also done innovative work in the field of Micro TESA and ICSI for Non Obstructive Azoospermia. She has also introduced the technique of Single Sperm freezing using Sperm Vitrification device.
The first births in India using such vitrified sperms was recently published in the journal Indian obstetrics and gynecology. She has also been doing innovative ongoing research in the field of ovarian rejuvenation using PRP and bone marrow stem cells.
She is an alumnus of the renowned Grant Medical College Mumbai and has pursued her further education & training from the world-famous IVF units in Belgium.
She has been conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists for her work towards the upliftment of women’s health (FRCOG) in 2019.
Dr Nandita has been a role model and mentor for the youth of today.
Her organizational and leadership skills, her perseverance to serve the society has brought her to the helm of various prestigious organizations. She has been the President of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) - 2019 and is currently the President of Association of Maharashtra Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies. She has also been the Past President of Mumbai Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (MOGS), Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE) and Maharashtra Chapter of ISAR (MSR). She is the Vice President of Indian Association of Assisted Reproduction. Additionally, she is also the President Elect of Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR).
Dr. Palshetkar is a reputed and popular speaker and has been invited to national and international conferences where she has delivered more than 900 talks.
In pursuit of her academic interests, she has contributed more than 100 chapters and papers, edited 23 books and delivered more than 65 orations.
A Philanthropist at heart and an educationist, she has been working for the upliftment of the health of the community and has initiated the She’s Ambassador programme with the underprivileged girls of Mumbai to instill leadership qualities and make them the ambassadors of good health and hygiene in their communities. She has played a significant role in setting up various reputed educational institutes which have helped in the empowerment of the youth of India.
